This OXID-module enables the listing of new products at the top of category listings and search listings. The summary of features includes:
- The date a product has been first inserted into the OXID Product-Catalog can be changed in /admin/ under individual Product-Details pages.
- Products with latest date list at the top of the
- category-listing (list.tpl)
- Search-listings (search.tpl)
This module is particularly useful if your catalog contains seasonal products and the products have to be shuffled regularly based seasonal prioritization (ex. winter shoes, summer shoes etc).

The source-code is available from our public-SVN server. If you are just interested in downloading the module, you can get the last ZIP-file (but please check with us on the newness of this package). A readme.txt file is attached with the code for installation.

Installation Instructions
- Copy the entire contents of the directory 'copy_this' in the root directory of your store.
- Module activation: Under Admin -> Master -> Settings -> System -> Text box "modules", enter the following:
- alist => eb_newproducts_ontop/eb_alist
- search => eb_newproducts_ontop/eb_search
- Empty the shop's ~/tmp/ folder

The module is available free and open-source (GPL2) from this page. The module has been developed on Community Edition, but should work just fine with Professional and Enterprise Editions as well.
